Nitecore specialise in battery accessories, typically for use in flashlights which they also develop. Nitecore chargers have been the gold standard for batteries used in vaping devices for some time now, including 18650, 26650, 20700 and 21700 batteries. Nitecore's Intellicharger and Digicharger range have fast balance charging capabilities.

Why buy your Nitecore battery charger from The Vape Store?

Buy your Nitecore battery charger for as much as 60% off recommended retail price (RRP) at The Vape Store. All Nitecore chargers are genuine and capable of charging 18650, 26650, 20700 and 21700 batteries for use in vaping devices as well as torches and flashlights.

Nitecore was founded by flashlight fanatics and is the world’s leading manufacturer of illumination tools for pro-level users. The company has contributed to social responsibility by providing illumination tools for search and rescue teams involved in hurricane and earthquake relief efforts. It is from this knowledge and enthusiasm for torches and flashlights that their battery chargers were created.

Why should you buy an external battery charger?

There are many reasons that you should purchase an external battery charger for your batteries. Check out our article Charging your batteries – USB or Nitecore battery charger, which is safer? for more information.

Since a Nitecore battery charger has one job – to charge your batteries – almost the entire internal mechanics of the device are essentially one big charging board. Vaping devices, meanwhile, have many jobs and charging is just one of them. The charging board on these devices is much smaller and therefore less capable.

In fact, an average Nitecore charging board measures approximately 60mm by 45mm; an average Micro USB charging board measures 25mm by 19mm, or actually less than 1/6th the size. Obviously, a dedicated charger with extra protections is going to perform better than a charger added as a feature within a multi-purpose electronic device.

What’s the difference between the Nitecore Digicharger and the Nitecore Intellicharger?

The Nitecore D2 Digicharger and Nitecore D4 Digicharger are the premium battery chargers on the market. They provide charging for IMR, Li-Ion, LiPo, Ni-MH and Ni-Cd batteries, adjustable charging rates, and a digital screen with a readout that provides information on maximum remaining battery voltage. This information becomes more important the older your batteries get, and negates the need for a digital multimeter.

The budget Nitecore I2 Intellicharger and Nitecore I4 Intellicharger perform the same functions as the Digicharger, but do not come with a digital screen. Both the Intellicharger and Digicharger series provide the same potential charge output, although with the Digicharger series the output is adjustable across battery pairs. This allows you to adjust your charging rate either down to extend cell life, or up if you need a quick charge in a pinch.
